FAQ

Will I incur additional costs during the wine tour?

The Wine Wrangler's guests are offered special discounts on wine purchases and merchandise at select wineries. Some Paso Robles wineries allow our guests reserve tasting at no charge however, if a winery charges a tasting fee for reserve wines it will be between $2 to $10.


What if I buy wine but don't want the hassle of carrying it with me throughout the day?

Don't worry! We do all the heavy lifting. Any wine you purchase will be taken care of by your Wine Wrangler! We will make sure that your wine is delivered to your hotel the same evening.


Are you insured and fully licensed?

Yes. We are registered, regulated, and licensed by the State of California Public Utilities Commission. TCP# 18003S. The PUC requires insurance as a condition of licensing.


Can we pick the wineries we want to see?

During our Wrangler Wine Tours you may make suggestions for a variety of winery stops and although we cannot make any gaurantees,  we make every effort to accommodate you as well as the others on the tour.   During a private wine tour, yes, yes, yes!.


How far ahead do we need to make reservations?

Always call to check for availability. Here are some guidelines: If you are interested in touring on a Weekend, it is best to make a reservation at least one month in advance. Weekdays, up to 24 hours in advance. We cannot guarantee availability however, sometimes we do have last minute cancellations. Toll Free: 866-238-6400

Why should we tour with The Wine Wrangler?

We have over 40 years of local history and knowledge. We are locally owned and operated. We are not a franchise. Coy Barnes is an educator and a winemaker. We do not have set iteneraries, we will take you where you want to go! We strive for 100% customer satisfaction. Our customers are #1. Don't just take our word, ask around locally...


What is your cancellation policy for Private tours?

We schedule private tours in advance and make preparations according to our clients wishes including scheduling stops and reserving a vehicle and guide. For Private tours our Cancellation Policy is as follows: A 50% Non-Refundable Deposit of the minimum is required to reserve the vehicle, and create an itinerary. The balance is due on the date of the tour. The total costs are based on minimum hourly requirements and any additional hours required during the tour. We reserve the right to charge $150.00 cleaning fee.


Should We Tip our Driver?

This is a very good question, especially since a driver's income is based largely on gratuities. Our satisfied customers almost always tip between 10% and 20% when they feel our driver's service has met or exceeded their expectations. Because our staff strives to go that extra mile for every customer, we are confident in letting you decide what, if any, is an appropriate tip. All of our drivers/guides truly appreciate any generosity (small or large) that you extend them.


What About Charters & Event Transportation?

YES, we are available for charter's as well as event transportation. We can provide shuttle services to/from your party or event. We also provide transportation to/from winemaker's dinners in the local area. Please call us for further information... 866-238-6400


What is your Cancellation Policy for Wrangler Group Tours?

We schedule tours in advance and must have a vehicle and guide available for any scheduled tours. Our Cancellation Policy is as follows: A full refund will be given for cancellations 72 hours prior to touring.  No shows or cancellations less than 72 hours prior to touring will be charged full price for Wrangler group tours. What is the reservation policy for a V.I.P. Tour?

Since a V.I.P. Tour is so involved a Deposit of 50% of the estimated total costs is required at the time of booking. At 30 days prior to the tour the deposit is non-refundable. The balance is due at the conclusion of the tour.


Lost or Stolen Items?

The Wine Wrangler is not responsible for any items lost or stolen on our tour or in the wineries.  Please take care to gather all of your belongs when you leave, including any wine or merchanise purchased throughout the day. 


Does The Wine Wrangler Receive Compensation from Wineriers?

Absolutely not.  We do not receive compensation in any form from any of the wineries or other local establishments.  Our goal is to remain unbaised to the area in order to give you the best possible tour catered to your tastes.
