8/9 Winemaker's Cook-off
This casual evening of relaxed good times under the stars at the luxurious River Oaks Hot Springs and Spa (formerly Paso Robles Hot Springs and Spa) will be held August 9, 2008 beginning from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Come out to meet over 25 of the best winemaker-chefs themselves. You will have a chance to taste the tempting fare grilled for your dining pleasure and enjoy the wines the chefs have selected to pair with their culinary creations.
Tickets are available for this unique evening of food and wine in the company of the region's very best winemakers are only $75 per person.

8/16 Basil Festival
According to event organizers, the Basil Harvest Festival will combine the best and most popular features of each festival. Guests will enjoy a bevy of basil delights, such as great basil foods and beverages, cooking demonstrations, the famous Best O’ Pesto pesto making contest, and tips on how to harvest and use all of the basil that is so abundant in the fall months. Thursday, August 28, 2008 Downtown San Jose The Sainte Claire Hotel, 302 South Market Street Thirty Paso Robles wineries will visit Silicon Valley for the fourth consecutive year pouring their premium Paso wines paired with appetizers and a pasta bar prepared by Il Fornaio Restaurant.
Silent Auction including magnums, library selections, lifestyle packages and more to benefit the Greater Bay Area Make-A-Wish Foundation™. General Public Tasting: 5:30-8:00pm, $75.

9/13 West Fest
Come enjoy the fifth annual Wine and Blues Festival, September 13th, 2008, produced by the fifteen Hwy 46 West Wineries in Paso Robles, California. The Guy Budd Band will be playing blues in the Peachy Canyon Winery Gazebo from 4pm to 7pm while fifteen wineries from the 46 west group pour award winning wines. Chef Paul from the Courtyard Marriott will be cooking an oak fired tri-trip meal include in your ticket. Tickets are $45 per person and $80 per couple. Your ticket entitles you to admission to the blues festival, dinner from the Courtyard Marriott, along with wine club discounts at all participating wineries for the entire weekend. A silent auction and live auction will go on during the festival where you can go home with great wine packages from all participating wineries. The event has limited seating and tickets are sold in advance by the participating wineries or at www.westfest2008.eventbrite.com Tables and chairs will be provided at the event, but blankets and lawn chairs are welcome. 10/7-9 Miss Rodeo California Pageant
The Miss Rodeo California Board of Directors announced the re-location of the Miss Rodeo California Pageant to Paso Robles, CA. Under the leadership of Board Member, Donna Riva, the pageant will move to this area which will make it more centrally located to all California contestants and their families and friends.
