Zip Line Wine Tour Adventure

This unique Zip Line and Wine Tasting tour is like nothing you have ever done before. Experience the beauty of the Paso AVA from a brand new perspective, from above.

For Groups of less than 10, Zipline Tours are offered Friday and Sundays Only. 

Groups of 10 or more will be considered a private tour and can generally be accommodated on other days with advance reservations!

This amazing adventure takes place at the Santa Margarita Ranch. Santa Margarita Ranch is home to some of California’s largest and most historic oak trees that thrive in the uncommonly complex terrain. SM Ranch is also home to a stunning range of wildlife. Frequent sightings include deer, wild turkeys, wild boar, foxes, hawks and falcons. Over the years several bald eagles have also made the ranch their home. More inconspicuously; Bears, bobcats, mountain lions, eagles and rattlesnakes also inhabit the land.

Your adventure will include scenic yet exciting glides down four different zip lines aptly titled “The Renegade,” “The Woodlander,” “The Hilltopper,” and “The Archway”. Each zip line has something different and magnificent to offer. While soaring through this beautiful area you will experience the remarkably diverse natural environment of Santa Margarita Ranch, which spans five distinct soil types and numerous habitats across more than 12,000 acres.

“The Renegade” the first zip line on your 2-2.5 hour adventure, will have you soaring 1,300 feet across a grassy valley and gracefully sweeping over a beautiful oak forest that hugs the rugged flank of the Santa Lucia Mountain range.

Once over the majestic Oak forest, “The Woodlander” will take you soaring for at least 800 feet while gazing down at the canopies of central coast native white and blue oak trees. A steep mountainside approaches you as you loom closer only to safely touch down on the mountainside itself.

“The Hilltopper” brings you out of the forest and over lovely cascading bare hills. Glide for over 500 feet and take a little breather before your final descent.

Next, head back towards the forest as you descend 800 feet and pass through a natural archway of companion oaks only to emerge to a panorama of vineyards and mountains.
Once safely back on stable ground be whisked away by the Wine Wrangler and take another adventure through Paso Robles Wine Country. This is a social tour, so you can expect to meet other wine enthusiasts and get to know them over the course of the afternoon. Usually, we will have 4-8 guests on board. Your guide/driver will point out landmarks and wineries along the way, telling stories and talking about local history and wine making.
